In 1897 a mysterious object flashes across the California skies. Shortly thereafter a wondrous airship called The Pegasus is seen in skies above Sacramento, California and begins to crisscross the United States. Where does this ship come from? Who invented its amazing technology? And who will ultimately control it? In an age of imperialism and saber rattling, this ship could be an awesome weapon that could tip the world balance of power. In America, select politicians and influential businessmen are pushing for war with Cuba to protect United States interests. Into this turmoil the secret Commander of the Pegasus sends a message to President Cleveland offering to use the Pegasus to bomb Cuba for a price of one million dollars.
Professor Colin Thatcher, an MIT scientist, is asked to track down and investigate the airship and its mysterious commander. Joined by headstrong New York reporter Rebecca Honeywell and a mysterious Englishman named Adrian Forrest, the trio engages on a cross country quest to track down the Pegasus and help determine for the President whether this technology actually exists and the consequences of a decision that could plunge the country into war. But the secrets they discover will shock the very core of their beliefs!
Based on actual recorded incidents this is a slam bang adventure novel with romance, violence and action, and that shows that the world of the 19th century is not so different from our very own today.
1937-In the biting cold of the Canadian northwest Joe Laporte, a lone trapper , discovers a deserted Eskimo village on Lake Anjukuni. Three Royal Canadian Mounted Policemen(Inspector Mike Neilson, Constables Ron Pawloski and Jamie Perrier and two archaeologists(Drs Harry Landers and Alison Karensky), along with a crazy Irish Bush pilot (Sean Conners) go to investigate the mystery only to find themselves transported to an alternate Earth where Reptiles developed as the predominant species. Encountering new civilizations in a barbaric medieval based society, where humans are treated as slaves or food, and encountering the mysterious Reptilian gods called The Elders, alien overlords, who use both species for their genetic experiments, they fight for their freedom and way to return to their own world.
What if an earth existed in another universe where reptiles evolved as the intelligent life form and not mammals? And what would happen if Reptilians and humans met? In The Roanoke Invasion, a small troop of Reptilian soldiers who are fighting a major war on their world, suddenly get teleported through a dimensional rift to our Earth and arrive in the late 16th century where England is trying to establish a colony at Roanoke Island, Virginia.
