ITW Round table

I'll be taking part in the International Thriller Writer's round table discussion next week. Our topic is:

Is tone linked to the author's or the character's attitude.

I think its easy to say that we as author's decide on the tone of our book and that the characters reflect that but not always. That's part of the fun of developing a character. Not all characters are an extension of the author. Hmmm lots to ponder here.
